We’re now looking for a Volunteer Events Coordinator to join our team and help us create unforgettable charity events that make a difference.

Position Overview:

As a Volunteer Events Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and managing our charity events. You will be required 4-6 hours per month with additional hours required in the lead-up to an event pending your availability. These events are essential for fundraising and community engagement, and your creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to our cause will be the driving force behind their success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the management team and report directly to the CEO to plan and execute medium to large-scale events, with a special focus on gala events.
  • Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and volunteer management.
  • Create and monitor event budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Work closely with the Social and Branding team to promote events through various channels.
  • Seek sponsorship opportunities and assist in fundraising efforts during events.
  • Develop event programs, schedule activities, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with regulations and permits.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and make improvements.
  • Maintain thorough event documentation and foster positive community relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning and coordination is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Passion for the Keeley’s Cause mission and values.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements:

  • This role is based in Melbourne, and you will be required to travel to event locations.
